About Supreme Deck Restoration
Founded in 1991 with rented equipment and fewer than 100 decks a season — now Southeast Michigan's trusted deck restoration team, 35,000+ decks later.
Started With Rented Equipment and Fewer Than 100 Decks
Supreme Deck Restoration was founded in 1991 by Craig Niner, who restored fewer than 100 decks that first summer using rented equipment. Robert Schepis joined as an equal partner in 1995, and together they grew the company steadily through the 1990s and 2000s — not through corporate expansion, but by developing lasting relationships with customers through quality craftsmanship and dependable service.
Every job is performed by our own trained employees — never subcontractors — which is how we've kept the same standard of hand-brushed, deck-specific work across more than three decades and 35,000+ decks.

His practical approach and extensive field experience continue to influence how Supreme Deck approaches projects and solves the unique challenges that come with restoring and building outdoor living spaces in Michigan.
Working alongside Robert Schepis and their experienced team, Craig has helped Supreme Deck service, restore, and rehabilitate more than 35,000 backyard decks. He remains actively involved in the company today, with a focus on continuing to improve the way Supreme Deck serves its customers and builds for the future.

Over the years, he has helped recruit, develop, and retain a group of highly skilled professionals, creating the experienced workforce needed to take the company to the next level. His ability to combine the right people with high standards for craftsmanship and customer service has played an important part in Supreme Deck's continued growth and reputation.
Today, Robert remains actively involved in leading the company alongside Craig Niner, overseeing its continued growth and helping set the standards that have allowed Supreme Deck to service, restore, and rehabilitate more than 35,000 backyard decks. After three decades, his focus remains the same: build a great team, deliver exceptional work, and keep moving Supreme Deck forward.

Kyle Malkowski
Deck Restoration & Construction Specialist
Kyle Malkowski's connection to the deck industry began at just 15 years old, when he started coming in after school to help with the business. What began as an after-school job developed into a 13-year career and a deep knowledge of both deck restoration and construction.

Having grown with the company from a teenager working after school into an experienced restoration and construction professional, Kyle brings a unique combination of long-term experience, practical knowledge, and a genuine understanding of what it takes to build, restore, and maintain a great deck.
